Fresco paintings by Steve Staresina are inspired by the expressionist painters of the New York School and are influenced by the movement’s forerunners, the works of Josef Albers, Mark Rothko, Wassily Kandinsky, and others. The origins of fresco are not just decades, but centuries old. Staresina paints with a union of antiquity and modernism, from Rome to New York, Michaelangelo to Rothko.
